Winter elopement picnic at Lake Eibsee
Eibsee, located in Bavaria, Germany, is a stunning destination for a winter elopement. With its crystal-clear waters and snow-capped peaks, it offers a picturesque backdrop for your special day.
L&R were lucky to get the ultimate package: a relatively warm sunny winter day combined with heavy snowfall the week before - resulting in a dreamy winter wonderland! A perfect day for an outdoor picknick next to the most stunning alpine lake in Germany.
They both got ready in a small hotel nearby, just the two of them. It was a quiet winter morning and they could watch the sun rise over the mountain peaks outside their window.
After the private first look outside the hotel, it was only a short car ride to the lake. They both put their hiking boots on and took a relaxed, short walk around the lake which already offers a stunning scenery.
They decided to read their vows at a quiet place that we found spontaneously and the sun started to come over the higher peaks of Zugspitze just as they started to read. It was such an intimate, special moment just for them with no one around (yes, even photographs can be taken from a distance).
Afterwards they celebrate their commitment to each other with some hot tea, cake and an intimate picnic right at the lakeside. When they arrived at the picnic spot, everything was already set-up and they got to see their beautiful set-up for the very first time.
When the sun set, they ended their perfect day with a private shooting underneath the night sky with lanterns and some sparklers. By then all tourists had already gone home and they had the quiet lake all to themselves.
Such a beautiful day with such a lovely couple. Overall, a winter elopement at Eibsee can be a magical and unforgettable experience. With careful planning and attention to detail, you can create a day that is warm, cozy, and romantic.
